  1. City of Anthony 

No update Wednesday.  

  1. City of Sunland Park 

Maintaining same conditions; asked for assistance from other agencies on addressing needs of vulnerable populations. Amanda from OEM will get with Capt. Schoen offline and offer assistance.  

  1. City of Las Cruce 

      Reminds the public that the City of Las Cruces continually updates it’s COVID-19 Alert              Center on its website, Other reminders:  

      Senior Programs - information on meals is available at the city website CODID 19 alert                   section. 

     You can sign up for alerts in a variety of sections of the website.. 

     Want all news releases? Covid 19 alerts? Parks and Rec info? Calendars? 

     Parks & Rec is partnering with the National Fitness Campaign - 7 minute workouts.  

     Helps reduce stress and keeps people active while at home. 


  1. Las Cruces Police Department  

One update: fielding several non-compliance complaints, some of which are going to the Mayor and then Codes. Complaints should be routed to the appropriate state agency: 833-551-0518.  

  1. Las Cruces Public Schools 

Working on Census 2020 promotions, in spite of shutdown. Videos are an option now, as well as using administration to pass along vital hygiene tips. Also working on resourcing online resources for students and addressing credit recovery options for graduating seniors.  


  1. Doña Ana County 

  • Sought feedback on doing a press conference with city/county elected officials Ideas: short, one-minute message that is vetted through JIC. Examples: Mayor, County Manager, DOH. Needs to be a unified message to community  

  • Update on BOCC meeting Tuesday: went on as scheduled with limited public in attendance. Meeting was streamed online.   

  1. Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office 

Tracking inventory on PPE, working through fielding calls related to the Public Health Order. Reminder to the group on how to dispose of PPE properly. Asked about including Gadsden School District and Hatch in JIC.  

On resources and supplies related to children in the area: Crayons are available to any agency that needs them.  


  1. Village of Hatch 

No report.  

  1. Town of Mesilla 

In compliance with new order, Town is rotating shifts to accommodate 5-person rule 

  1. Memorial Medical Center 

Now at zero visitor protocol, wound care center is still open and seeing emergent cases without negatively affecting other patients. Emergency Operations is open, ready for surge should it happen.   

  1. Mountain View Regional Medical Center 

Nothing new to report.     

  1. New Mexico State University 

 NMSU President John Floros hosting a virtual Town Hall Thursday, March 26 at 3 p.m. via Zoom. Video conferencing is their new option to communicate with public. Zoom is licensed for all NMSU employees, which can send out invites to use the service. Can hold up to 5,000 people at one time. Primary function is to answer questions using email address and then questions are answered via Zoom.    

  1. New Mexico State University Police  

Nothing new to report  

  1. Office of Emergency Management (OEM) 

County attorney is crafting a declaration of disaster, will provide it to other agencies if needed. Scheduled to be presented at BOCC on April 14. Outside municipalities can tailor for their own needs.  

DOH is now sending news releases to the City for media distribution on COVID-19 matters. 

Chuck McMahon will coordinate a call moving forward to present information NEED CLARIFICATION ON THIS FROM CULLEN 

  1. Southern New Mexico Correctional Facility 

No report Wednesday  

  1. State of NM Aging & Long-Term Illness 

Nothing new to report Wednesday; Rosa continues to connect with seniors who have their own phones.  

A reminder for those who need it: Seniors needing meal delivery or other services can call the Senior Resource Center: 800-432-2080  

  1. Mesilla Valley Regional Dispatch Authority (MVRDA) 

Most of admin staff is now working from home. Starting Tuesday, dispatchers are adding address flags into CAD with symptomatic information when appropriate. Dispatchers will then get pop-up screen to advise first responders.   

  1. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, El Paso Sector 

No report Wednesday 

  1. New Mexico Department of Health 

      New Mexico reported its first COVID-19 related death in Eddy County.  

     Working out screening and sample collection sites state-wide. As of today, there is nothing definitively scheduled in the Doña Ana County area, but David Morgan that they are constantly updating that directive and he will pass on that information when it becomes available
