City Monitoring Coronavirus

We at the City of Las Cruces are closely monitoring the evolving COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation. The latest information impacting the Las Cruces area is available here. We encourage you to visit the site often for updates.

You can prevent the spread of respiratory illness in our community by washing your hands often, covering your cough or sneeze, staying home when you are sick, and cleaning frequently touched objects and surfaces. These actions will also prevent the common cold and flu. View information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:

The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) is the lead agency for the statewide coronavirus response. At a March 5 forum in Las Cruces, NMDOH Deputy Health Secretary Eric Chenier and NMDOH State Epidemiologist Dr. Michael Landen gave a presentation on the COVID-19 situation. You can watch it here: Captioning is available in English and Spanish.
