Share Your Thoughts for Landmark Park – Survey Available Through March 20

Unidad Park SignResidents have a great opportunity to provide their input on Unidad Park, a landmark park built in 2001. Community input will be used to determine the design of the park’s make-over that includes building a splash pad and other changes.Community members are encouraged to take a survey that asks for your memories, favorite parts of the park, and any ideas to contribute to the project. Go Bond Project Updates

The City of Las Cruces has established an easy, online way for the public to check the status of the General Obligation (GO) Bond projects approved by voters. The GO Bond portal provides improved transparency and customer service to Las Crucens.

In a special mail-ballot election held between July 24 and August 21, 2018, Las Cruces voters approved four GO Bond questions totaling $35.6 million:

  1. Shall the City issue general obligation bonds, payable from property taxes, in an amount up to $16,900,000 to construct improvements to parks, including sports fields and other related facilities? Approved 57%
  2. Shall the City issue general obligation bonds, payable from property taxes, in an amount up to $9,800,000 to construct a new animal shelter facility and related improvements? Approved 67%
  3. Shall the City issue general obligation bonds, payable from property taxes, in an amount up to $6,200,000 to construct replacement fire station facilities for Fire Station 3 (at 390 N. Valley Drive), including acquisition of necessary land? Approved 70%
  4. Shall the City issue general obligation bonds, payable from property taxes, in an amount up to $2,700,000 to construct and improve recreational walking, jogging, and biking trails, including acquisition of necessary land? Approved 58%
